TV debate costs Joe Biden sympathies | Currently America | '
In a recent poll commissioned by the CNN news channel, only 22 percent of supporters of the US Democrats supported a candidacy by former Vice President Joe Biden. That's ten points less than a month ago and even 17 points less than in April.
In second place is Senator Kamala Harris. 17 percent want their candidacy – in May there were only eight percent. On Harris follow Senator Elizabeth Warren with 15 percent (May: seven percent) and Senator Bernie Sanders with 14 percent (May: 18 percent). None of the other candidates reached five percent.

However, regardless of their preference, 43 percent of party leaders polled said Biden had the best chance of beating US President Donald Trump in the November 2020 election. Only 13 percent of Sanders and 12 percent of Harris and Warren believed that.
Democratic flood of applicants
On Wednesday and Thursday last week, 20 candidates for the presidential candidate of the Democrats in Miami had delivered their first TV duel. Because of the many applicants, there were two rounds with ten candidates each.
The strongest moment of Thursday's discussion was that African-American Harris took the lead when she attacked Biden keenly for positions to integrate blacks. In the debate on Wednesday, US media had seen Warren among the winners. The primary elections, where the candidate – or even the candidate – of the Democrats is determined, begin only in February next year.
