Egyptian news sources revealed the real reason why the Egyptian star Mohammed Salah, who is a professional in the ranks of Liverpool, contacted Dr. Ahmed al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar three days ago.

The media then deliberated the content of the telephone call between the world soccer star and the Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar without addressing the reason for the call.

The sources said that Salah contacted Al-Azhar Sheikh 48 hours before the opening match of the African Nations Cup hosted by Egypt, in order to coordinate the construction of a religious institute in his village of Bengrij in the center of Basion in the province of Gharbia.
