CAIRO (Reuters) – Egyptian football player Ahmed Hijazi has broken his nose after being injured in Africa's opening match against Zimbabwe, the Egyptian Football Federation said on Saturday.

Hegazi injured West Bromwich English in his nose, but insisted on the continuation of the game ended in favor of the "Pharaohs" 1-0.

The doctor of the national team, Mahmoud Abu al-Alla, said Hijazi's injury would not prevent him from completing the current camp and participating in exercises and matches normally after taking medical measures.

The Pharaohs, the leaders of the group (3 points), will meet Wednesday with Congo in the second round of the group stage.
