The dome of the Nikolaikirche in Potsdam
One of the most important works of Karl Friedrich Schinkel (1781-1841), the Nikolaikirche in Potsdam, now has a walk-in viewing platform. The tour below the domed roof of the church offers a panoramic view over the city and the UNESCO World Heritage Site at the Havel at a height of 42 meters. For security reasons access to 40 visitors should be restricted at the same time. The church on the Old Market was inaugurated in 1837. The new Nikolaikirche Observation Deck is open from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 9pm and Sundays from 11.30am to 9pm. The entrance fee is five euros.
