"Yama Kan" presented 500 books to the children of the Jordanian-Emirati camp
To continue its role in promoting the cultures and knowledge of refugee children, and in the context of the Sharjah International Book Fair 2019, the Kan Yaman Kan Campaign, organized by the UAE Council for Young People's Books, on the distribution and collection of books for children and adolescents through donations, has donated more than 500 books on children The Jordanian-Emirati camp "Marijib Al-Fohud", which is supervised by the UAE Red Crescent Society, is the result of the books donated by institutions and individuals during its fifth session in the holy month of Ramadan.
The donation was made in conjunction with World Refugee Day, where the titles of the books that reached the Grand Heart Library in the camp included a remarkable variety. The campaign succeeded in collecting book donations throughout the holy month of Ramadan. Was held in the Ramadan Council, which was held at Al-Majaz Theater in Sharjah, bringing the total number of books in the library to date to more than 4,000 books, catering to the needs of 3000 children and adolescents since 2014.
On the occasion of the visit, Marwa Al-Aqroubi, Chairman of the Emirati Council for Youth Books, Director of the Sharjah International Book Fair 2019 project, said that the donations that have reached the campaign translate the human and cultural thought of various institutions, individuals and individuals in the UAE into the importance of the book and its role in building people and enhancing their knowledge and intellectual experience. The campaign continues its efforts to reach out to all children who are in difficult circumstances to prevent their access to books.

On the sidelines of the visit, the UAE Council for Young People's Books organized a variety of reading sessions aimed at children of all ages, providing them with an ideal opportunity to learn new patterns of storytelling and stories contained in books.
