US death in Kuwait after 9 days of conversion to Islam

A US citizen living in Kuwait died after a conflict with cancer nine days after she converted to Islam.
The 60-year-old Sarand Simona Post announced her entry into Islam on June 10 after her husband, John Loris, announced his conversion to Islam in February, according to the Kuwaiti daily Al-Rai.
Sarand, who works at the Arifjan base with the US military, received the certificate of the Committee for the Definition of Islam nine days before her death as a result of deteriorating health because of suffering from cancer.
A number of Muslims prostrated the body of Sarand in the tomb of the Sulaibikhat, because there were no relatives in Kuwait except her husband, who thanked all of Wassah in the death of his wife.
The husband explained that "he and his wife wanted to enter Islam since 2012, but the working conditions delayed the announcement of their Islam."
