UAE and Bangladesh discuss strengthening food security cooperation

HE Sheikha Hasina Wajid, Prime Minister of the Republic of Bangladesh, met with HE Mariam Bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Al Muhairi, Minister of State Responsible for Food Security, in the presence of HE Sa'd Mohammed Al Muhairi, UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh.
HE Sheikha Hasina Wajid, Prime Minister of the Republic of Bangladesh, met with HE Mariam Bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Al Muhairi, Minister of State Responsible for Food Security, in the presence of HE Sa'd Mohammed Al Muhairi, UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh.
The meeting discussed means of boosting bilateral cooperation in the areas of research and development, capacity-building, technology transfer, knowledge exchange and food security, while the two sides stressed the continuation of joint efforts to strengthen bilateral relations.
The Prime Minister of Bangladesh invited Emirati businessmen to invest in their country in the sectors of manufacturing, infrastructure, agriculture, food preservation and other fields. HE Al Muhairi expressed the UAE's desire to import food from Bangladesh at competitive prices.
