Sleeping passenger forgotten on the plane | Currently World | '
A woman, probably forgotten on board a plane, brings the Canadian airline Air Canada into turbulence. Tiffani Adams said he slept deeply when he landed in Toronto and was probably overlooked by the crew, the Canadian broadcaster Global News and other media reported.
She woke up much later in the empty and dark, meanwhile also cold machine. Since the battery of her cell phone was empty, she could not call for help. And also the radio in the cockpit was not operational because of the parked power supply of the aircraft. She initially thought she had a nightmare and then focused on her breath to prevent a panic attack.
She had finally discovered a flashlight and thus successfully issued distress signals, it was said. An airport employee who happened to be passing by with a luggage transporter had seen her and then taken her out of the machine with a staircase, and frightened employees of the airline took care of the passenger.
Air Canada is now investigating how the crew could overlook the sleeping woman, but does not want to comment on the incident for the time being.
