Kuwaiti artist resigns because of continuous sexual harassment in the art
Al-Dabur – A Kuwaiti artist has announced her retirement from art because of what she said about the endless sexual harassment that is prevalent in the artistic milieu in general and especially in the Arabian Gulf.
Where the young Kuwaiti artist, Pepe Ahmed, announced her retirement from art without return, because of the repeated positions she described as "lack of literature" by one of the artists.
The young artist said: "I reject harassment, which I am experiencing a lot, so I decided to retire art immediately"
"I never had the slightest desire to be exposed to such positions. I had a lot of aspirations and artistic ambitions, but my dreams are all gone."
"There are a number of artists who distort the artistic medium with their vulgar and irresponsible behavior."
Ahmed pointed out that "the status of art is now so reversed that it requires urgent treatment, to get rid of the many pests that come from the outsiders it."

"Art needs someone to help it to carry out its community mission," she concluded.
Bebe began her artistic career in the series "You Are Omri" starring Abdul Aziz Al Musallam and a great selection of Kuwaiti and Gulf drama stars, written by Jaber Al Banna, Jawhar Al-Joheil, directed by Ahmed Deaibes, and the series "Student Accommodation" by Abeer Zakaria and directed by Hussein Al Halibi.
