Hamdan bin Mohammed issues a decision to form a committee to regulate the trading of petroleum products in Dubai
HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, issued a decree No. (16) for the year 2019 to form the "Committee for the regulation of the circulation of petroleum products in the Emirate of Dubai".
The committee consists of representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Energy and Industry, the Federal Authority for Land and Marine Transport, the Supreme Council of Energy, the Dubai Police, the General Department of Civil Defense in Dubai, the Dubai Municipality, the Roads and Transport Authority, the Department of Economic Development, the Dubai Customs Department and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Dubai, Dubai Petroleum Corporation, Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation and Dubai Maritime City Authority.
The representatives of the said bodies shall be named by their officials, who shall be experienced and competent in the field of the Committee's work. The President of the Supreme Council of Energy shall determine both the Chairman and the Vice-Chairman of the Committee. The Committee shall assume the functions and powers stipulated in Federal Law No. (14) The trading of petroleum materials and its executive regulations and the decisions issued thereunder, and any other tasks assigned to it by the Supreme Council for Energy relating to the regulation of the circulation of petroleum products.
The Committee shall submit its suggestions and recommendations, as well as its reports containing the results of its work and achievements, to the Supreme Council for Energy for its consideration. The Council shall provide the necessary administrative and financial support to enable the Committee to carry out its functions and functions.
The Chairman of the Supreme Council of Energy shall issue the necessary decisions to implement the provisions of this resolution, and shall come into effect from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
