Facebook finally announces its digitized currency Libra and its Calibra portfolio
Facebook announced officially after a long wait and dozens of reports the launch of its encrypted currency Libra, which comes with an electronic portfolio Calibra.
Something that was not mentioned in reports about the digital currency.
To enter the company in a new phase of financial transactions but on a global level and expanded.
Facebook established a subsidiary under its umbrella Calibra.
It was established in Geneva, Switzerland, as a separate business and financial center in the country, which provides many facilities for remittances around the world without taxes and difficult conditions.
But at the same time intended to serve the parent company, Libra was the product of the company's work during the last period.
The aim of the currency is to facilitate financial transactions.
And send and receive funds easily with the participants of the platform supported by a large number of known institutions as mentioned in a previous report.
As the new Libra currency will be supported since it was launched in 28 different companies including Facebook.
MasterCard, Visa Card, PayPal, eBay, Ober, Lift, Spotivay, Vodafone, Strip, Booking, Coinbase, Xapo Holdings Limited, Mercy Corps, Kiva, Global Banking Alliance for Women and others.
Facebook says Calibra will be officially launched in 2020, and its services for encrypted digital currency will be available on Messenger, Wattasab.
As well as a separate application. Libra converts the dollar into a digital currency to send it easily around the world.
But it will not work with the same mechanism as the current encrypted digital currency, even though it is based on Block Qin.
But it is possible to work with some currencies in the future, according to the company.
Facebook seeks to exploit its global reach and access to most regions in order to provide a means to transfer funds in a way different from traditional methods known.
It is thus achieving a large percentage of profit due to the expected number of subscribers with the launch of the service.
But at the same time saving time, effort and money to millions of people around the world who send remittances on an ongoing basis.
As with workers who send money to their parents in their own countries.
Or self-employed who receive their remuneration through remittances, or even institutions that seek to obtain investment from outside the country.
