- Extension of working hours at the periodic inspection station for cars north of Jeddah
The General Administration of Technical Inspection of the periodic cars, extended the working hours at the inspection station in the neighborhood of Nozha north of Jeddah, to facilitate the citizens and residents.
The Department explained that the arrangements for the reception of the vehicles had been completed in the evening until 11 pm from Sunday to Thursday. On Saturday, the station would be closed at 10 pm with instructions from the Director General of Traffic, Major General Mohamed El Bassami.
It is worth mentioning that earlier work times were extended in ten stations: Riyadh, Dammam, South Jeddah, Makkah, Medina, Hofuf, Abha, Qassim and Taif.
The aim of the periodic technical inspection is to raise the level of vehicle safety, reduce accident rates, protect the environment from pollution, hide vehicle malfunctions, identify vehicle malfunctions and detect upcoming malfunctions, and extend the life of the vehicle, inspecting more than 73 parts per vehicle.
