Bahrain will reveal a surprise about the deal of the century and the economic conference
Bahrain's Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed al-Khalifa said on Wednesday that he would not believe about the deal of the century and the Bahrain Economic Conference, according to the Bahraini daily Al-Ayyam.
Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa said that the conference on economy and peace for prosperity, hosted by his country in partnership with the United States of America, is an economic workshop and not something else.
He added in a statement to the newspaper "Al-Ayyam" that the objectives of the workshop contribute to the growth and prosperity of the region in general and the Palestinian territories in particular.
"Any talk about a deal or something like that does not concern us," he said.
The workshop will be held on June 25 and 26 to discuss what the US team described as the economic context of what is contained in the American peace plan known as the deal of the century.
The workshop was opposed by the Palestinian Authority, which announced its boycott and called on Arab and international countries not to attend.
