The 2019 session of the baccalaureate is decidedly eventful. Suspicions of absconding in the mathematics tests of the baccalaureate for ES and L sections, confirmed Friday evening, Jean-Marc Huart, director general of school education at the Ministry of Education, at a press point.
"These suspicions of leakage concern a limited geographical area: 3 to 4 institutions in Ile-de-France in which candidates have received by private networks the subjects and not by social networks, prior to the tests," he said. -he indicates. Candidates would have exchanged these topics via Whatsapp messaging or SMS. "I have no idea how many candidates have access to the topics," he continued.
An investigation is opened
The Ministry of Education has already filed a complaint and an investigation is opened. According to information from 20 minutes, the judicial police were seized and the investigation was entrusted to the BRDP (Brigade of repression and delinquency to people).
It remains to be seen what will happen to the candidates who have passed this test. "We do not plan to have the 354,000 candidates repeat the tests because the leak seems to be sufficiently circumscribed," said Jean-Marc Huart. But the examiners will be vigilant during the correction to detect any anomalies. "Especially if a copy has perfect answers, we'll look at it twice," he said.
The authors of the leaks and those who have benefited from them are subject to sanctions, which may go as far as "suspension of the examination", he said.
On Friday, in the same ES series mathematics test, errors were repeated, but the ministry assured that the candidates would not be penalized.
