4 ways to help you find stolen or lost Android phone

1. Using a computer:

One of the most common cases is: losing your Android phone, but you can access a computer, so you can follow these steps:

  • Once you've lost your phone, open the phone tracking service, at https://myaccount.google.com/find-your-phone.
  • Make sure you're signed in to the Google Account associated with your lost phone.
  • You'll see a map showing where all the devices associated with that account are located.
  • If the map does not help you get to its exact location, in the menu on the left side of the map you can press the Play Sound option to make the phone ring for 5 minutes regardless of its settings. In a closed place, such as: office or home.

How to find an Android phone stolen or lost using any device

From the menu on the left side of the map, you'll find several other options:

  • Secure Device, which allows you to lock the phone, and display a message of your choice on the lock screen shows the person with the device as missing, and put a phone number to call.

  • Erase Device, which lets you erase data, but if you use it you will not be able to track your phone, so consider using this feature after it fails in all other attempts.

2 – Use Google Assistant:

If you have a smart home device that supports Google Assistant, such as Google Home, Home Mini, Lenovo Smart Display, or others, it can be used to find your phone.

All you have to do is say the words (Hello Google, Find My Phone) Hey Google, find my phone, Google Assistant will help you, by making your phone ring.

If you have many devices, it will remind you until you reach the device you want, and when you say "Yes", the device will ring loudly for 5 minutes regardless of its settings.

3- Using any other Android device:

You can also use another Android device to find your lost phone, but you'll need to download the Google Find My Device app separately from the Google Play store on your device first.

  • When you open the app, you'll need to sign in with the same account on your lost device, then you'll see a map where you can locate your phone, and all of your devices associated with that account will appear at the top of the map.
  • Click the device you're looking for, and its current location will appear on the map.
  • At the bottom of the map are the same options that you see when you use a computer: Play a sound, lock the device, or wipe the device.

4. Use smart clock:

If you are using a smart clock that is running Wear OS, you can use it to find your missing phone associated with it. All you have to do is access the application list on your watch, press "Find my phone" and the phone associated with your smart watch will start ringing in the voice Regardless of its current settings.
